PROJECT FAST FACTS

YEAR2022-23
LOCATIONWestern Australia, New South Wales, Victoria
STATUSCompleted

Vestas required the repair of cracked, chipped and fractured ring gear teeth in their wind towers. Extensive damaged had been caused due to malfunctions in the yaw system.

ICE Engineering sent a rotating roster of workers onside to complete weld repairs and regrinding of damaged teeth. Our workers were required to undertake site-specific Working Safely at Heights training for this job, and were required to pass a weld test before commencing.

All works were completed to weld procedure specifications, and work was carried out under a stringent SWMS (safe work method statement) to ensure the safe and timely completion of this project.
